Privacy Policy

Sundial — Fasting & OMAD · Effective June 11, 2026

The short version: Sundial stores your data on your device. We run no analytics, show no ads, and sell nothing about you. The only data that can ever leave your phone is listed below — and most of it never does.

1. Data stored on your device

Your fasts, weight, water and mood logs, streaks and settings are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else, unless you explicitly enable the optional cloud backup described in section 3. You can export everything as CSV or JSON at any time from Settings, and deleting the app deletes this data.

2. Purchases

Payments are processed entirely by Apple’s App Store. To verify your purchase and restore it across devices, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier and your purchase history. This identifier is not linked to your name, email or any other personal information, and it is not used for advertising or tracking.

3. Optional cloud backup

If you choose to create a backup account, your email address and your fasting data are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) solely to back up and sync your data between your devices. We never use this data for anything else. If you don’t enable backup, no account exists and nothing is uploaded. You can permanently delete your backup and account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, which erases your cloud data and account immediately. You can also email us at the address below and we will remove all of it.

4. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send remote push notifications and we cannot see whether or when notifications fire.

5. Feedback

If you send feedback from within the app, your message — and your email address, if you choose to include one for a reply — is delivered to us through Web3Forms, which simply relays the message to our inbox. We also attach your app version, device model and OS version to help us reproduce issues. This is used only to read and respond to your feedback, and sending it is entirely optional.

6. Analytics and advertising

None. Sundial contains no third-party analytics SDKs and no advertising of any kind.

7. Children

Sundial is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
